1: People
I can't stand to read around people. Either what they're doing will throw me off or I'm not able to keep my emotions in check. I don't know if anyone else feels the same way as I do, but I don't like to be around people while I'm reading because they don't understand what's it like to have the feels while reading, and sometimes they will make fun of me and I don't like that. It disrupts my reading and also my emotions, so I usually just shut myself in a room while I'm reading. I also hate it when people talk to me while I'm reading. I can be a really nice person if you leave me alone while I'm reading, but DON'T EXPECT ME TO STAY CALM IF YOU TELL ME TO DO SOMETHING UNIMPORTANT WHILE I'M READING
There's also this issue that people'll come over and ask questions about the book I'm reading, questions that I will be very angry and exasperated to answer, because:
1. CAN'T YOU SEE I'M READING?! ASK ME WHEN I'M DONE, OR ANY OTHER TIME WHEN I'M NOT READING
2. I'm not done reading the book, so how am I going to fully answer your questions?!?!
2. Noise
If you're one of those people who can read even at a really noisy and crowded place, then I applaud you.
I, for one, cannot enjoy my reading if there is constant noise in the background. There are certain times when I can read in a noisy environment, but most times it is a no-no. Even those short, tiny noises produced like washing your hands or closing a drawer annoy me.
3. Pacing
Lastly, pacing is one of those things that can make me very exasperated at all times, not just when I'm reading. Even when I'm doing other things, I cannot stand it when people pace. The continuous patter of feet and the image that something is moving to and fro in a certain distance irks me. Either stand quietly, go somewhere else, or just frikkin sit down!
After reading this, have you thought of anything that annoys you while you're reading? Feel free to share them in the comments, thank you for reading, and I hope you have a nice day! Happy reading!
