You might be wondering, 'Kat! Did you pack all of your books and go into hiding at your secret lair just so you could read all of them? Is that the reason for your more-than-one-week absence at Perusing Bookshelves?'
My answer: Yes.
(Just kidding.)
You might also be wondering, 'Why is the title of this post so strange?'
Well you see, dear reader, I had a really important exam -you'll hear a lot about exams on my blog- that really, REEAAALLLY, stretched my ability to memorize and now all I want to do is to snuggle up with a comfort read. Obviously, people study for exams (...or is it just me?) so while you people had the time of your lives reading the books you wanted, I was NOT having fun at all. I was revising and doing everything I could to ace Really Important Exam like trying to remember the last scientific law I just repeated in my brain for a gazillion times two minutes ago. I take all my exams very seriously. (Heh. BECAUSETHEYAREIMPORTANT.) This one just demanded more of my attention.
And if you haven't already guessed by now, I just finished my REALLY-IMPORTANT-NERVE-WRACKING exam -this morning! YES GUYS. It marked the last of school exams in 2014 and I am so happy to finally be able to wash my hands of them (for two whole months at least, I guess).
I haven't touched a book -with the exception of school books- in a week and a half! Imagine that! I'm even cringing at the thought of it. Now I'm off to bathe in a bathtub full of books and relish in the awesomeness. BRB.
I'm also very excited to read Blood of Olympus. Like, A LOT.

The UK cover is GORGEOUS! And, and, and - I even get The Staff of Serapis at the end. YAY!
But I want to promise you guys something. I'll be trying my best to keep up with posting stuff that I usually write on my blog, which means reviews, blog tours, Top Ten Tuesday -the whole shebang. I can't promise that there'll be a review tomorrow but I think I'll be catching up with some features and -- I'll also be adding something new to my blog!
I know a lot of bloggers are already doing this, but just recently, I scrolled through the Goodreads New Releases catalogue (or something like that) and realized that while I REALLY. WANT. to buy all of these books and read them, I can't. So what I'm doing instead, is to list some of the new titles that I'm really excited about at the start of (hopefully) every month. It's not a very good replacement and I'll probably end up wanting to read those books even more after listing them. However, if I don't have a lot of new releases that I'm "dying to get my hands on" at the start of a month, I won't be telling you guys here. It's as simple as that. *finger snap*

So I hope you're still going to stay at Perusing Bookshelves for a while (because if you don't, I'm going to find you and force you to look at my blog for an entire day) because good gods, I have tons of reviewing to catch up on! And now, this really happy book lover is off to do what she loves best: reading *cough* BloodofOlympus *cough*! See you on the other side, demigods.
