(NOTE: THERE MIGHT BE MILD SPOILERS IN MY REVIEW, BUT I'LL TRY TO MAKE IT AS UNSPOILERY AS POSSIBLE!)
I know, it's already been a year since United We Spy was released, but I just managed to acquire a copy of United We Spy only a month ago.
A little backstory: The Gallagher Girls series is one of my favorite series back when I started getting into reading. I stumbled across books one to three in a book catalog and bought them because they were cheap. After I read the first book I knew that I was going to love this series.
"Cammie Morgan has lost her father and her memory, but in the heart-pounding conclusion to the best-selling Gallagher Girls series, she finds her greatest mission yet. Cammie and her friends finally know why the terrorist organization called the Circle of Cavan has been hunting her. Now the spy girls and Zach must track down the Circle’s elite members to stop them before they implement a master plan that will change Cammie—and her country—forever." Review from Goodreads
I guess I feel more close towards this series because I found this series by myself, not from recommendations or book reviews. And now that this series has finally come to an end, I feel responsible to post a book review about the last installment in the series. The Gallagher Girls series has really taught me a lot and changed my view about certain things, and I want to thank the author, Ally Carter, for bringing this wonderful series to life.
Actual review starts here:
After Out of Sight, Out of Time, I knew that United We Spy was going to be awesome. Because it's the last book in the Gallagher Girls series, and last books in series are generally epic.
I was also getting really excited to read how Cammie, Zach and her besties kick the Circle of Cavan's big fat ass.
United We Spy had my feels running all over the place. There were many times when I could not guess what was going to happen next. I especially loved reading the pros and cons list! I'm feeling sad all over again because NO MORE "OOPSIE DAISY"s.
We also get full overdoses of Zach and Cammie moments in United We Spy. I didn't know how much I missed Zach and Cammie being together until I read United We Spy. Ever since Cross My Heart and Hope To Spy, they have been one of my favorite OTPs.
Cammie still remains as my favorite character from the Gallagher Girls series. In United We Spy, she taught me to learn from your mistakes and move on. She has the ability to worm out of tough situations and she is just plain awesome.
Bex, Liz and Macey are the coolest friends ever. Even though they'd had a small fall out in Out of Sight, Out of Time, they still stick together and help each other. I admire their strong friendship and I may have picked up a few tips on how to treat my friends better from them.
Don't even get me started on Liz's graduation speech. And, and, and- Catherine's revelation of Zach's father. And Catherine's song. I WANT A SEVENTH BOOK!!!
The Gallagher Girls series have had a great impact on my life, and I want to (again) thank the wonderful author of this absolutely incredible series. Thank you, Ally Carter. Cammie will become my secret sister and we will go on secret spy missions together, along with Zach, Liz, Bex, and Macey.
This series will have a place in my heart always.
Honestly, I don't think this series is getting the hype it deserves. If you haven't read the Gallagher Girls series yet, PLEASE, give book one a try! It's called I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You. Just click here or the title and you'll be directed to the Goodreads review.
