But I digress. First thing I did when I reached the bookstore today was ensuring they still had the book reserved -in quite an ungraceful manner, I repeated the title of the book when they were asking for my name, but can you blame me?- and of course, paying for the book. Believe me, I have never been as willing to hand over cash in all my years of buying books. (Finally, the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is mine!) That was such a glorious moment.
I noticed Winter as I was doing a double scan of the bookshelves -as we all do- and just had to get it, too. Man, I was on quite a roll this afternoon (the Harry Potter book, when converted to my country's currency, was not cheap, guys) seeing as I've placed an unofficial book-buying ban on myself. But it's Christmas! And everyone's allowed to get a little tipsy -even over books- at Christmas.
